Cado System Modular Teak Wall Unit, other sizes and variations available - SOLD

March 23, 2019

Wow, wow, wow! Look at all that gorgeous old teak! This is the now-iconic and highly collectible modular Cado system designed by Poul Cadovious, but with the very rare full wall panels. All of the cabinets and shelves are adjustable and can be placed in any manner you choose. We have two more panels and many other cabinets, tables, stereo/record cabinets, drawers and shelves. We are happy to work with you to create the configuration that suits you best. (Pricing will be adjusted.) The cabinets and shelves can also be hung on simple wall-mounted rails and free-standing tension poles if you prefer a lighter look.

This configuration measures 95 1/8” w x 94 1/2” h x 19” d and includes:

  • 3x wall panels each 31 5/8” w x 94 1/2” h - panels have some chipping on top and bottom edges and on a few of the peg holes. Most people will cut the panels to fit their specific installation, so these could easily be trimmed off. One has a repaired split bottom right. One has a 2 1/4” gouge as shown. Minor scratches. Teak is highly photo-reactive; these have color variations from being exposed to light or covered by cabinets: this will even out over time.

8 adjustable shelves. The top has some very faint small scratches. Left side has some very light marks. One shelf has a chip on front edge. A very small hole has been drilled in the back panel (probably for speaker wires). The right side has some light marks on the edge. Interiors show slight color variations from shelving covering the teak: exposure to light will even these out.

Walnut & Steel Bookcase / Room Divider / Hutch by Stanley - SOLD

July 22, 2017

This is a very unusual and handsome century modern hutch / bookcase by Stanley Furniture Company, circa 1960s, for their 'American Forum' collection. Originally intended as part of a 2-piece set (see our other listings), we think this piece works beautifully on its own for storage, TV/media, and display. It's fully finished on the back, too, so it can be used as a room divider in a large space.

Two sliding sliding doors at the top with large compartments behind. A wide display shelf in the center is perfect for holding decorative objects, art or media items. Two long, skinny drawers and two smaller shelves below. The case sits on a heavy duty iron base which gives this pieces a "floating" appearance yet is solid and sturdy.

In excellent vintage condition with only minor age-appropriate wear. There is a small white mark on one sliding door and a small chip on the back edge.

68" wide x 12" deep x 42.25" high.
(Large central open space measures 31" wide x 19" high.)
