A set of eight mid-century Danish teak dining chairs with elegantly curved backs. These are a very rarely-seen design by Erik Buck, one of the most well-known Danish chair designers. The teak frames are in great shape, but the original oatmeal wool upholstery shows some staining and the seat foam is somewhat compressed. They are still completely usable and nice-looking as they are, but would be wonderful re-upholstered. This rare model sells for over $500 per chair reupholstered, so this is a chance to own a very high-quality set of Danish chairs without breaking the bank.

We acquired this as a complete set of 8 (just brought over from Denmark this summer!); six of the chairs are upholstered in the original black leather and two are black skai (leatherette). The solid rosewood frames are in excellent condition. The leather seats are in excellent vintage condition with mild signs of wear typical to vintage leather: a few wrinkles and shallow scratches, small cracks, etc. One chair has a repaired cigarette burn (small hole.) In 1944, Niels Otto Møller founded J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark, a company that has received many awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981. "My father never compromised on anything," says Jørgen Henrik Møller. "When he designed a chair, he would find the materials and then design the furniture. Each design took him five years to complete." A classic and enduring design, the #57 and #77 chairs are still being produced today, selling for $1,150 and $1,550 each.
This gorgeous set consists of two Model 57 armchairs and six Model 77 side chairs designed in 1959. It is in excellent original vintage condition. The solid teak frames have a wonderful rich, warm patina and only minor signs of wear. The original leatherette "skai" seats have no rips or tears to the seats, but some rips to the liner fabric underneath as shown.

Sweet, classic Danish design after Poul Volther's design for Frem Rolje. These were made in the 1970s when Danish designs were being produced in Maylasia, the source of the teak.
This set is in vintage condition with age-appropriate scuffs, some light staining to the seats. Three fastener covers are missing, the cord appears to have been re-fastened on a couple of the chairs at some point, and there are dings and finish wear throughout. Price reflects condition.
