Described as some of the most comfortable dining chairs ever made, these solid Brazilian rosewood (palisander) chairs by Erik Buck for O.D. Møbler (Oddense Maskinsnedkeri) are becoming one of the most desirable designs for collectors of mid-century Danish furniture. Designed in 1949. They feature Buck's wonderful "floating" seat, lovely joinery and great attention to detail. and did we mention how comfortable they are???
We acquired this as a complete set of 8 (just brought over from Denmark this summer!); six of the chairs are upholstered in the original black leather and two are black skai (leatherette). The solid rosewood frames are in excellent condition. The leather seats are in excellent vintage condition with mild signs of wear typical to vintage leather: a few wrinkles and shallow scratches, small cracks, etc. One chair has a repaired cigarette burn (small hole.)
