The stem has a set screw in the center that allows the stem to be lengthened or shortened. In addition, globe shade is articulated and can be angled in different directions. Please see the photos: we've tried to show a few of the many variations.

Husband and wife team Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund began their lives in Denmark, studying ceramics at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish School for Arts and Crafts before emigrating to Canada in the early 1950s where they began producing ceramic lamps. By the early 1960s, their son Morten had developed their now-iconic fiberglass lampshades. Lotte Lamps remained a small, family-run company until 1997, producing a variety of truly beautiful lamps and shades.
