Husband and wife team Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund began their lives in Denmark, studying ceramics at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Danish School for Arts and Crafts before emigrating to Canada in the early 1950s where they began producing ceramic lamps. By the early 1960s, their son Morten had developed their now-iconic fiberglass lampshades. Lotte Lamps remained a small, family-run company until 1997, producing a variety of truly beautiful lamps and shades.
This eggshell ceramic lamp has a beautiful and subtle surface texture and features the original fiberglass and jute lampshade. The lamp is large and impressive and casts a beautiful light. (3-way switch allows different lighting levels.)
