This is a special piece. It was designed by architects Ejnar Larsen & Aksel Bender Madsen and produced by cabinet maker Willy Beck in Copenhagen, Denmark 1951. This design duo's creations for Willy Beck are some of the most coveted Danish pieces. The craftmanship and quality of this piece is outstanding. It feels very hand-made. Marked with Willy Beck’s metal label on the underside.
The table is extendable on European white oak runners and includes one hinged leaf, which stores inside. It is in very good vintage condition with signs of wear. There are numerous dings and dents along the edges, light scratches, a small burn mark, and a couple of light rings. One side has small splits in the edge banding. Please see photos.
