This is a very beautiful and unusual dining table, Model R3, made by Gustav Bahus in Norway in the early 1960s and Rolf Rastad and Adolf Relling. It features an unusual tapered shape, beautiful edging detail, turned solid afrormosia legs, and two leaves that store inside the table when not in use. We rescued this beauty from under a thick layer of old oil and grime, and it’s now back to its former glory :)
The table is in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of wear. The veneer is ever so slightly raised at one corner. One leaf has a slight chip along the center edge, the other has a repaired chip near one end. As is common with vintage teak tables, the leaves are slightly lighter than the table due to being exposed to a different amount of light.
63” x 38 1/8” x 28 7/8” high
With one leaf: 79 1/2”
With both leaves: 96 1/4”
