These beautiful molded teak plywood chairs are very unusual. They were designed by Erik Buch and made in Denmark in the 1950s by the fine furnituremakers Funder-Schmidt & Madsen.
These are really wonderful chairs: much more substantial than typical Danish chairs, with beautiful curved laminated backrests and Erik Buch’s signature "floating" seats and bowtie stretchers.
This set is in very good vintage condition with mild wear consistent with age and use. They have a few scratches to the seats as shown. One chair has a small nick on the back age. All in all they look great, with a beautiful patina.
