A handsome set of 1964 solid walnut and cane dining chairs designed by Jack Cartwright for Founders, one of our favorite American mid-century furniture companies. Founders used gorgeous pieces of walnut and finished their pieces in a simple oil finish that really lets the beauty of the wood shine.
The set is in very good vintage condition. They have been thoroughly cleaned and are sound and sturdy. The black naugahyde seats are in excellent condition. There are a few very small, almost unnoticeable holes in the cane backs. One seat back has some oil staining as pictured. These chairs are smaller scale than many arm chairs and would work well in a small space.
