This is an exceptionally well-made piece, circa 1950s Denmark. Absolutely beautiful leg and base detail, beautiful joinery and great old-growth teak with a contrasting mahogany or afrormosia edge. Very finely made. Notice the side profile of the drawer front: the top portion is a solid piece of teak, allowing for the elegant carved and recessed pulls, and the lower part is thickly veneered teak lumbercore. This piece is also fully finished on the back, allowing for placement anywhere in a room. This is among some of the most well-made of the Danish case goods we’ve seen, a real beauty!
Sold in the USA by Selig as part of the Jutland Group.
Excellent vintage condition. There a repaired veneer crack on the back corner left side. There are a couple of light scratches on the top.
