Danish furniture maker Funder-Schmidt & Madsen was highly respected for their excellent quality and superior craftsmanship. Noted designer Erik Buch worked with them, and these chairs share many design features with Buch’s work. We do not have a positive attribution on the designer, however. Solid walnut frames with sculpted cross stretchers and a slight curved back for comfort. Beautifully chosen solid walnut frames with original skai (naugahyde) seats. 4 side chairs and two arm chairs with extra-wide seats.
In excellent vintage condition with minor, age appropriate wear as seen in photos. One seat has a small nick; one has a spot of dried glue.
