Danish Teak Credenza by Ib Kofod-Larsen - SOLD

July 22, 2017

Mid Century Modern vintage Danish teak sideboard by revered Danish designer, Ib Kofod-Larsen. Notice the detail in how the legs are overlap the bottom span of the cabinet unit. The minimalist circle pulls allow just enough for the fingertips to maneuver the sliding doors — so as not to obstruct from the clean, minimalist aesthetic.

This piece has excellent proportions; long and low and definitely shallower than most similar pieces at just 16" deep. Three sliding doors. Shelves on either end, and felt-lined drawers behind the center door.

This gorgeous credenza is in very good vintage condition with age-appropriate signs of use: a few light scratches and dings on top, a few chips/repairs to top corners of doors as shown. The back panel was replaced by the previous owner because someone cut jagged holes in the original panel.

67" x 16" x 29.875" high.

Long American of Martinsville 'Dania' Credenza or Dresser - SOLD

This gorgeous piece was designed in the 1950s by Merton Gershun for American of Martinsville's iconic 'Dania' line. We are pleased to offer an entire dining suite from this collection including dining chairs, sideboard and china cabinet. Although advertised in original brochures as a triple dresser, this piece was part of the dining room suite in it's original home. The glowing solid brass trim beautifully highlights the warm walnut cabinetry. Two doors in the center open to reveal pull out drawers. To either side are banks of three drawers, one shallow and two deep, with the Dania collection's signature louvered detailing.

This piece is in very good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear, minor scratches and dings. The top has two small areas of finish wear as shown. The bottom central drawer has some staining.

Long, Low Danish Teak Credenza by Dyrlund, Arne Vodder style - SOLD

May 6, 2017

This very long, low teak credenza features gorgeous details like the elegant, sculptural hand-carved door handles and drawer fronts. Many people sell this piece as designed by Arne Vodder, but we believe it is simply inspired by Arne Vodder's Triennale series. The beautiful lipped and sculpted door handles are a real delight to both look at and use.

The sliding doors on the left and right side open to plenty of adjustable shelves. The central bank of five dovetailed drawers all slide beautifully. Both the top drawers are green felt lined, ideal for storing  silverware.

We have mostly seen this piece with taller legs, although we have seen one other on short legs like this. We're not sure whether it was an option from the furnituremaker, or whether a previous owner shortened the legs themselves. In any case, it makes this a great height for a flat screen TV!

In very good vintage condition with some signs of use consummate with age. The top has a couple of areas of scratches and areas of slightly raised veneer and wear (see photos). The left sliding-door cabinet has a carefully drilled hole in the back panel to allow electrical cords to run through for your media components.

86.675" wide x 18.375" deep x 27" high.

(Please note: we are currently sourcing a replacement for a bit of hardware on the sliding doors, so while this piece may be viewed and reserved now, it is not yet ready to go to its new home.)
