Pair of Mid-Century Wrought Iron & Glass Tile Side Tables - SOLD

December 27, 2018

This wonderful set of black iron and glass tile tables are so sweet! They came from an estate filled with Paul McCobb furniture and we’ve seen other dealers claim them to be McCobb designs, but we cannot make a positive attribution since they are not marked. Either way, they are a great set, with glass tiles in warm neutral and iridescent copper shades. Perfect for plants, porch, or patio!

There is some finish loss and light rust on the legs and two tiles have been replaced on one of the tables.

12 1/2” square x 16 1/8” high

Glowing Walnut Coffee or Side Table

November 1, 2018

Nicely proportioned walnut square coffee, cocktail, side- or end-table with a gorgeous oiled finish made in the 1960s. Although unmarked, this table came from an estate filled with Milo Baughman, Thayer Coggin, Eames, and Kipp Stewart among other high-end designer pieces. The owner had purchased everything from fine furniture stores in Manhattan in the 1960s when he worked there in advertising.

This sweet table measures 30" x 30" x 19.5" high. It has beautiful, lively walnut grain and is in excellent vintage condition with only very mild signs of wear. There is an area of slight discoloration on one corner as can be seen in the first photo.

Solid Teak Tray Table by Jens Quistgaard for Dux - SOLD

July 5, 2018

A really cool and unusual side table produced by Dux of Sweden with a removable and reversible solid teak bowl/tray top and beautiful solid teak flared legs. A pair of these tables recently brought a $4000 at Wright auction house in Chicago, so this is a great opportunity to own this excellent piece! Designed by Jens Quistgaard (of Dansk fame) and produced in Sweden first by Kallemo and later by Dux.

In very good vintage condition. We did NOT sand this piece -since many people prefer the history of small imperfections- but since it is made of solid teak it would be very easy to sand and return to pristine condition. There is a ring on the bottom of the tray top and very light staining on the concave side. See photos.

Tray top measures 19.75" diameter.
Overall diameter 22.25" x 17.25" high

Three Nesting Tables designed by Jens Quistgaard for Richard Nissen, Denmark, Solid Teak - SOLD

April 21, 2016

A rare set of nesting, solid teak tables with fabulous finger-jointed corners. A set of these tables realized $3,150 at an auction last year .

Designed by prize-winning Danish designer Jens Harold Quistgaard (of early Dansk fame) and produced by Richard Nissen. Retains paper label.

This set is in very good vintage condition with some scratches and dings as shown in the photos. Given the rarity of these tables we did not attempt any restoration, preferring to leave that decision to the new owner. However, as they are solid teak, it would be easy to sand out the scratches if desired.

Large: 14.5" x 19.75" x 17.5"
Medium: 14.5" x 17.5" x 16.5"
Small: 14.5" x 15.5" x 15.5"
